September and already preparing for Christmas.

Its September, Its been the coldest summer in 21 years. Lack of sun this year has made for a pretty boring summer. Now to top it all off its September and our preparations for Christmas start already!

Our Turkeys have been growing for a while and are now starting to look like Turkeys rather than the fluffy creatures I have been tweeting about recently. Cute as apposed to those scary angry looking beauties we serve you up from around the 20th of December.

Our Turkeys this year are being brought up for us by Copas Turkeys in the heart of Berkshire. The Copas family have been farming in Cookham since 1901. They have won numerous awards and are responsible for around 40,000 turkeys each year. Copas are so dedicated to their farming you find wonderful tit-bits like this on their website….

“During the day, the Free Range Bronze & Free Range Organic turkeys are truly free-range, which means they stroll around our cherry orchards & grass meadows taking in the fresh air as soon as they’re old enough (usually six weeks old) & not just for a few weeks towards the end of their lives. Due to their long (& happy!) lives, Copas Turkeys are wandering around outside well before most cheaper alternatives have even hatched!”

Knowing exactly how the Turkeys are farmed having visited our Friends at Copas many times we know they are the best and that’s why we are happy this year to have them farming for us.

Our Christmas product list is already in progress and we should soon have it on our website for you all to download to start making your preparations very soon. You will be able to order online and have your Christmas hamper delivered directly to your door or come down and collect in store yourself.
